TEEN LWML

 

Friends Into Serving Him® is for young women who want to grow in their faith and share the love of our God with others through service activities. The format is such that teens learn to run their own meetings, plan their own activities, and develop ideas to carry out their plans. This is all done under the guidance of young women mentors.The teen LWML concept was introduced at the 2005 LWML National Convention. Since then, a task force has developed the program, resources, and a leadership network for use by those who are interested in starting a Friends Into Serving Him® program in their area.

A new LWML Teen Web Site at http://teens.lwml.org awaits your exploration. On the left side of the page are "roll over" icons that provide descriptive information when you place your cursor on each link button. You will discover teen devotions, a teen mite calendar, teen products/promotional items at the LWML Store, archived teen pages from The Lutheran Woman's Quarterly, and teen leader resources. In addition, every two weeks the site will feature a different teen group.

Attached here is a Teen Certificate recently developed and approved for use as you see fit. Feel free to make copies for your teens – offered at a special ceremony, beginning of a new season or when new members are added to your group.

Carol Fuys, the Friends Into Serving Him® Task Force Chairman, wants to build an atmosphere for sharing, encouraging, and uplifting leaders as they share the mission and ministry of LWML with teens.
